Steve started showing dogs in about 1970, with a Keeshond. I grew up with Pomeranians. My aunt had a Champion in the 50's that I only remember as "Teddy Boy". Over the years we also had Ginger, Skipper, Skipper2, and Skip. (We weren't very original with names!) So when I started looking for a larger dog, it was a natural to find Keeshonden.

Steve owned and finished 3 Kees champions, (and a CDX), and also owned and finished a Whippet and a Dachshund. He got a few Group wins, worked part-time for 3 years with a friend who owned a kennel (and learned more about scooping poop than I ever care to remember!), bred a couple of litters, was Show Secretary for an independent Specialty (Keeshond Club of Dallas) and occasionally showed a number of dogs for friends.

Pat grew up in Minne-SNOW-ta, where her family showed horses. She's now a confirmed Texan. (Her favorite coffee cup says "Life's too short not to live it as a Texan," and she has a bumper sticker that reads "I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could."
She is a Corporate Event Planner.
Steve is a native Texan, living in Houston since he was 3. (Well, he went away for college and didn't return until he was 28.
He works as a Director of Information Technology.
